RRC Conference abstract submissions

A quick reminder that the deadline for abstract submissions for the 2026 RRC Conference is Friday 17th October 2025.

This is your opportunity to help shape the programme for our flagship event, taking place at the state-of-the-art ICC Wales near Newport in 2026. With more than 500 professionals from across the UK expected to attend, this is your chance to showcase your work, share innovative ideas, and inspire a diverse audience.

Share your ideas now for Newport 2026

We’re particularly keen to receive abstracts about:

  • Hands on river restoration – what worked and what didn’t?
  • The right action in the right place: working with natural processes or designed restoration.
  • What we need to monitor, to measure outcomes and effectiveness, to inform the evidence base.
  • Funding mechanisms for river restoration.
  • Species reintroductions - challenges, conflicts and successes
  • Innovation in the water sector.
  • Challenges and novel solutions in urban settings.
  • Perspectives from landowners and land managers: motivators and blockers
  • New models of stakeholder partnerships for restoration.
  • Community engagement and education – are we getting our messages out?
  • The social, economic and climate benefits of restoring our rivers.

Of course, you’re not limited to these themes—we want to hear what you think belongs on the agenda for Newport 2026.

If you have an idea but aren’t sure whether it’s the right fit, please get in touch—we’d be happy to talk it through.
