Webinar under the theme: Innovative financing and private sector engagement to accelerate and sustain services will take place on Wednesday, 22 May 2019 from 09h00 – 11h00 GMT & Abidjan; 12h00 – 14h00 in Nairobi; 11h00 – 13h00 in Harare & Pretoria.
A radical increase in water and sanitation investments is required to finance the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Agenda for 2030. The current level of sector financing is not sufficient to achieve universal access to safe and affordable drinking-water, adequate sanitation and hygiene targets. New sources of finance, and better use of existing sources, are a critical element. This webinar will present and discuss initiatives being implemented to attract private sector and non-traditional resources in the Rural WaSH.
Discussions will be informed by presentation from the Kingdom of Eswatini and UDUMA.
