Uganda Water and Environment Week (UWEWK) 2019

Uganda Water and Environment Week (UWEWK) is a week long event that is organized annually by Ministry of Water and Environment (MWE), spearheaded by Water Resources Institute (WRI). Since its initiation in 2018, the event seeks to contribute towards the attainment of Sustainable Socio-economic Transformation in collaboration with various partners and stakeholders. It provides an interface for sector actors and other stakeholders for knowledge exchange and improvement of Uganda’s water and environment resources

The event includes the following activities:

1. Publicity campaigns in print, electronic and social media;
2. Regional awareness raising activities by the deconcentrated structures of the Ministry of Water and Environment
3. Clean up Exercise in Entebbe Municipality Saturday 16th March 2019
4. National Conference: Monday 18th – Tuesday 19th March 2019
5. Applied Training Sessions: Wednesday 20th March 2018
6. Field Visits: to selected areas within and around Entebbe, Kampala and surrounding districts
7. Commemoration of the three Important International Sector Days – Friday 22nd March 2018
