VicInAqua addresses such challenges and is currently using the associated innovation opportunities at Lake Victoria by developing integrative water and energy management technologies for fish farming and irrigation. The project follows a holistic approach combining different technologies from the fields of water treatment, renewable energies, aquaculture and process monitoring, thus creating added value for the East African market and other regions with similar environments.
