Webinar: Transformations within reach: Resilient food systems

This webinar is the side event of the 2020 International Borlaug Dialogue - by the World Food Prize. The humanitarian and socioeconomic crisis triggered by the COVID-19 pandemic is changing the conditions for development. By illustrating the entanglement of human and natural systems, it has been a warning shot for humanity. The International Institute of Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA) and the International Science Council (ISC) launched the Consultative Science Platform to explore where and how the recovery process could catalyze transformations for sustainable development. Within this context, this webinar will focus on opportunities for building paths towards sustainable and resilient food systems. Combining outcomes from the consultations and complementary applied research initiatives, eminent experts will engage in a discussion of key entry points for science and action. This will be followed by a Q&A session.
