Webinar: Enabling Voices, Demanding Rights: A guide to gender-sensitive community engagement in large scale land-based investment
This webinar is devoted to a resource developed jointly by IISD and Oxfam in 2018, entitled "Enabling Voices, Demanding Rights: A guide to gender-sensitive community engagement in large scale land-based investment." This step-by-step, practical “how to” guide is designed to support communities, especially women, as they look to increase their participation and voice their interests in decisions around agricultural land investments.
As the largest user of water globally, the agricultural sector is in need of input from all areas of society - the voice of women will be vital in developing a more sustainable future for agriculture.
The webinar will be moderated by Francine Picard Mukazi, IISD. The presenters will be Jesinta Kunda - Zambia Land Alliance, Ronald Bagaga- ESSAF, Charles Opiyo and Naomi Shadrack.
