AfriAlliance was delighted to have organized a workshop  yesterday, dealing with “Social innovation needs in water and climate: regional priorities within Africa” at the twenty-second session of the Conference of the Parties (COP 22) in Marrakech.

The workshop aimed to gather specific needs from local stakeholders: what water-related issues need to be addressed in the face of climate change? The workshop took a bottom-up approach and consisted of both plenary and breakout sessions.

Participants included practitioners, NGOs, CSOs, international organisations, public sector agencies and researchers. The ultimate goal was to identify a list of concrete social innovation demands in need of technological and non-technological solutions.
